Not very often does one run across actual adventurers who have a fearless spirit of adventure and a capitivating sense of joy. This was Rex Wotton, a sailor, climber, scuba diver, and a great sport. Rex Wotton ran the West Coast Watersports center at Coral Reef hotel. It was only a short walk from Settlers Beach. The center took hotel guest diving and on daytime and sunset cruises around the coast. He was a master seafarer trained by the Royal Merchant Navy in all matters of ship navigation, and marine work. Rex Wotton was just one of the most unforgettable Rogues of Barbados. His spirit of joy and sharp wit surrounded every scenario.
Cruising to St. Vincent with a friend at just 11 years of age attests to his spirit of adventure. He invited others to take with him in capers and notorious expeditions, making it all seem to be risk-free, effortless, and fun. Frequently daring, he took extreme yet calculated risks.
