Enjoy this entertaining story of a real rogue who is an adventurer at heart and an all-around sport with a well-developed sense of fun. Rex Wotton managed the West Coast Watersports shop at Coral Reef hotel, just up the beach from Settlers Beach. They took hotel guest diving and on sailing tours along the coast. He was a professional seafarer trained by the Royal Merchant Navy in all matters of ship navigation, and marine work. Rex was one of the most captivating Rogues of Barbados. He had an amazing sense of fun and used it to win over every situation.
Once, when somebody splashed a beverage at him, he simply dumped the ice water of a wine cooler over them. When needled by a comic who made an insulting comment about him, Rex repaid the insult by taking away the comics' iconic green top hat. Straight past security and the doorman, he struted with a bold air and his seductive smiling giggle.
This was his manner, he did not let much pass him and typically returned insult with a double measure of the same, but it was enfolded in charm and style. He seldom displayed anger, but it was ready when needed.
