Polytetraflouroethylene (TFE) and Kynar - PVDF both are on allocation.

PTFE - Polytetrafluoroethylene  product PTFE (TFE) and also Kynar-PVDF  manufacturing requires a mineral called Fluorspar which is mined in Mongolia and China. The world interest in this mineral has grown significantly, as well as the supply has tightened. PTFE materials have high heat resistance, excellent chemical resistance and really low co-efficient of friction (slick) and is utilised throughout dozens of applications from non-stick fry cookware to ptfe tape for use at home. This mineral is a important raw materials within the production of fluoropolymers, fluorolubricants and lots of refrigerants. This surge in demand joined together with shortage of raw materials is responsible for a dramatic price increase (almost double throughout the last year), shortages, and we expect both these factors to keep at it in the near future.
